14 Dec CHRISTMAS, Christmas Time is Here! FARMHOUSE LIVING BY SHELBY COLEMAN
Fall and winter are the best seasons to be creative. We like to simplify; to really find joy in the midst of our full calendar. All the gift purchases and gatherings can become costly. Tasteful DIY is not only easy on the pocket book but will make your family and friends feel extra special. Here’s a couple tips to simplify your holiday season. We like to use things that will transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Pinecones and evergreen can be used to dress up your table, mantel or just about anywhere. Fresh evergreen can be messy but smells wonderful and can be changed out easily. We just put on our garden boots, grab our sheers and head to the nearest evergreen tree. If fresh pine isn’t for you, invest in pics and garlands that are natural looking and use them from year to year.
We love craft paper! Find a fun font and create personalized labels for your packages. Everyone has ornaments they’re no longer using. Instead of throwing them out, tie them alongside your label to add some flair. Craft paper place card holders are a fun way to dress up your table for holiday parties. We used wood slices we made from a fallen tree as chargers. The table scape is complete with some votives and white glass ornaments atop some pine sprigs. A mix of well-placed pine trees, garland and wreaths create a warm and inviting space that make guests feel at home. No fuss, simple decorating saves time and money, creating stress-free holidays and keeping the focus on what matters most. Visit FarmhouseLiving.com to find more holiday photos on the blog.
