PROSPER FAMILY MEDICINE: WE’LL TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY BY DAWN BLUEMEL OLDFIELD

Almost two years ago Dr. Ann Snyder and Rhonda Hopkins, MD, FAAFP, owners of Prosper Family Medicine welcomed Dr. Manju K. Pandey to their practice. Specialists in family medicine in Prosper since 2007, the doctors are grateful to have Dr. Pandey onboard as part of their team of caring professionals.

Dr. Pandey has established herself as a favorite among patients of all ages, developing longstanding relationships with her patients, and being part of the community. Family medicine is the heart of her training but urgent care, preventive care, education, women’s and children’s health are particular areas of passion for her.  Cheri DeLane, office manager for the practice says, “Dr. Pandey’s practice continues to thrive, and we thoroughly adore her, as do her patients!  She spent two weeks this fall in her home country of  Nepal, and enjoyed the visit with her family.”

A Board Certified Family Physician Dr. Pandey shares, “My parents always stressed education, and encouraged me to follow my dreams. I grew up in rural Nepal where quality healthcare was limited, and I knew that I wanted to be a doctor. After I finished medical school I moved to the U.S. to be with my husband and the rest of the family.  Life took us to Minnesota, where I did my residency at the University of Minnesota St. Cloud and served as Chief Resident for one year. Family and friends brought us back to Texas in 2012, and we’ve called Frisco home with our children ever since.”

Dr. Pandey adds, “The past 18 months has been amazing.  People from Prosper and neighboring communities have trusted my ability to serve them.  It’s a testament to my dedication to my patients, and this amazing team, that we are getting referrals daily.  This inspires me to keep going forward while providing quality care and creating great doctor/patient relationships and getting to be an active member of this great community.  The doctors and nurse practitioners here are among the best, and it is wonderful to be working with them. We share the same mission and values… to connect with our patients and help them build healthier, happier lives.”

QUALITY CARE AND FAMILY VALUES IS CORE TO THE PROSPER FAMILY MEDICAL TEAM.  The practice is pleased to welcome two new amazing Nurse Practitioners to the group.  Lindsey Gillespie, RN, FNP-C is a resident of Celina, and Frisco resident Jessica McGinnis, RN, FNP-C.  Dr. Pandey shares, “Lindsey and Jessica are a valuable asset to our practice.  These two young ladies are knowledgeable, experienced, full of energy, and motivated. They are able to see patients the same day and are able to manage any case, giving the doctors more flexibility in terms of our schedule and ability to serve patients in a timely and effective manner.”

Dr. Ann Snyder obtained her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and completed her residency in family medicine in Nebraska. She began practicing in Collin County in 1999. Dr. Hopkins followed her heart and her father’s footsteps to become a family doctor. She received her medical degree from Texas Tech Health and Science Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The holidays are a great time to enjoy family and friends, a time to be grateful, reflect on our health, celebrate life and what’s truly important.  When we are sick or hurting, we rely on the doctors who provide us with encouragement as we heal.  What we don’t realize, is that sometimes it is the patient, and the community, that provides the doctor the courage and faith to move forward on their own road to recovery.

Cheri shares, “Each of our Prosper staff  has endured trials and triumphs in their individual families this past year, however the diagnosis of one of our “work family” really has been difficult.  Dr. Rhonda Hopkins’ diagnosis of Stage 4 breast cancer just devastated us all.  The support of prayer groups and messages of love and encouragement from her patients and the community have been overwhelming.  The good news is that her ongoing weekly treatments are working and her prognosis is encouraging!  Her goal is remission and she is on her way! “We are all thankful for her continued path to recovery and aware of the true blessing of life.”

The team at Prosper Family Medicine is uniquely qualified to provide preventive care and managing complex and chronic conditions. They believe quality healthcare includes strong patient relationships, advanced comprehensive medical services, and commitment to improving the health of their community. The doctors are passionate about education and prevention, ready to serve almost every health need for men, women, and children.

The doctors share, “At Prosper Family Medicine you’re not just another patient,  you’re like family. Our goal is to treat every patient, from babies to grandparents, with integrity and kindness, and provide them with the efficient, courteous, competent healthcare services they deserve.”
